I haven't been able to use this tape dispenser the way it's shown. I have bot pull it out manually and across my box, then use the dispenser to cut the tape; but at least the tape stays straight, doesn't tangle and doesn't frustrate me like some of them do. I think it's over priced for a plastic tape holder, and though I will continue to use it, I wouldn't buy it again.

I sell on the web and this has been a lifesaver. I bought this 5 years ago and use it upside down. It sits flat on the counter so you can dispense either way. I'm buying another one to have on hand. Don't hesitate - especially at this price.
