These are a little expensive but so far they seem to be much better than other simlar markers. We use the on a chalk board and they really "pop" against the dark background. I give them 4 stars not because of quality, we just spend a lot of money on markers annually. FYI, for anyone not in the restaurant business, this is among the items that make up menu pricing. So next time you say man this food is expensive, these prices are.... Think about it, everything we spend money on must come from somewhere. It all factors in somehow.

I bought it for the coffee shop i work at. It writes great on our shiney counter sign, but it is hell to take it off our menu black board. still worth it. i bought it a long time ago and we still have all the colors, and they are barley just starting to get worn at the tips, even after using them on rough surfaces like unfurnished wood
