Swiffer products are tops in our household, but the packages the wet ones come in are poorly designed. We bought a package of six and when the UPS man put it on our porch he had to use a rag to wipe the leaking soapy goo off his hands and we had a mess to clean off our porch. On the plus side, the seller gave us a partial refund to compensate for the mess we had to deal with.

I live in upstate New York where it snows a little everyday and people come into my house with wet feet, leaving tacks in my kitchen. Keeping the floor clean is easy with this product. I love it. It is so easy just to slip a wet cloth on the mop, clean up the spots and then toss the paper cloth in the trash. The pet controversy is silly. I have two cats and have been using this product 2 to 3 times a week or more for more than a year. My cats are fine.

Please go to www.snopes.com for more details on the alleged threat to pets. This appears to be a hoax that continues to go around.
