I've been buying the standard pedestal fan from Walmart and such for years. They break and don't move much air. This thing truly moves some serious air. Great fan, and it's compact too. If you want to cool down a space this thing is your tool

Its a humid 93 degrees outside, 88 degrees inside and I'm nice and comfortable in front of this fan. I have it on medium, high felt like I was in a wind tunnel. It's no louder than the average fan but is definitely more powerful. And a good price. I hope it holds up. I will buy a second one if I don't replace my air conditioner soon.

Excellent fan - I agree with other reviewers who say this fan works very well.
