Herman MillerA{R} EA435 Designed by Charles and Ray Eames Herman Miller introduced the Aluminum Group in 1958 as a special project by Ray Eames for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard. Eleven years later, they would add plush cushions to make the Soft Pad Group. The original Aluminum Group's classic lines and comfortable suspension combined with the plush characteristics of the Soft Pad Group have kept them in demand for years.
