This cordless optical mouse works wonderfully with my Windows XP laptop. When I first bought and used the mouse, I noticed that the size is really small (it's a mini-mouse). I would accidentally press the left button on occasion. But I am used to it now and this is no longer a problem. The mouse is powered by one AA battery. I'm using rechargeable NiMH batteries that lasts for days (it has a 100mA current draw in active operation); and in a pinch, I can use regular alkaline. The USB receiver is about the size of a flash drive. It snaps on to the bottom of the mouse for storage and will turn off the mouse to save battery power. The infrared tracking of the mouse preforms really smoothly on my black mouse pad. There is no sticking, or jumpiness like other optical mice that I have used in the past. The buttons on the mouse give a sharp audible click and the scroll wheel have a certain "ridge" when it is spun. In summary, a neat little cordless mouse.

My wife bought this for me as a gift on Black Friday. Since that short time, I've come to realize that a wireless mouse is really nice. I've been resisting spending the dough even though my wife's laptop has an older model logitech which I did enjoy using. The mouse functions perfectly EXCEPT for the claimed method for fixint (storing) the USB dongle to the mouse by a friction fit peg/hole combination. That doesn't work for beans. The dongle snaps off the mouse at the slightest bump. Otherwise, worth the twenty bux.
