The fluid does indeed dissolve those smears of adhesive left after removing price labels, most annoying on book covers. Why can't manufacturers and retailers "let go" of their merchandise after they've been paid for it? In use, the 3M pen is quite small and, particularly, a bit too thin to handle easily. The suggested "scraper" often proves too small and loosely inserted in the tip of the tube to remove the now viscous adhesive efficiently. Finally, for a bit over one-third of an ounce, the 3M price is a greedy mockery of reason.
